HOW IT WORKS FOR BIDDERS

From first look to collection in five clear steps.

Understand the unit, know what you will pay and know exactly what happens if you win before you create your account.

01

Create your bidder account

Register your bidder account and complete your profile so you are ready to participate when the right storage unit appears.

02

Find an auction

Browse units, photos, descriptions, location, access details and collection requirements. Check the distance before bidding — collection and removal of the contents are your responsibility if you win.

03

Bid your way

Place normal bids or set a maximum bid and let the system bid for you up to that amount. Live bidding and our 2-minute soft-close protection give bidders a fair opportunity to respond near closing time.

04

Win and pay securely online

If you win, complete payment through the platform. You’ll pay the winning bid plus the 10% buyer’s premium. A separate $200 cleaning deposit will be temporarily authorised through Stripe on your credit card before collection. This is a pending card hold; SAA and the seller do not receive it as a paid cash deposit.

05

Verify, collect and clear the unit

Complete any required identity verification, follow the auction’s collection arrangements and remove the entire job lot. After collection, the facility inspects the unit and either releases the $200 card hold or records any reasonable, documented cleaning charge up to $200 before the remainder is released.

Know the total

$200 cleaning deposit

A separate $200 pending hold is authorised through Stripe on your credit card before collection. If the unit is left clean and empty, the hold is released. If cleaning or rubbish removal is required, the facility may charge the applicable amount from the $200 hold and release the remainder. The hold may appear as pending on your card while it is active. The 10% buyer’s premium is charged separately with your auction payment.

Know the distance

Collection is your responsibility

Check the facility location and collection windows before bidding. If you win, you are responsible for collecting and removing the contents.

Know what you’re buying

Job lot · as is · where is

Your bid is for the unit contents as a whole, based on the listing and photos. Sales are final subject to the auction terms and rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

MAXIMUM BIDDING

Set your limit. Let the system do the bidding.

Enter the maximum amount you are prepared to bid and the platform can bid on your behalf only as needed, up to that limit.

2-MINUTE SOFT CLOSE

No last-second sniping.

A qualifying bid placed near closing extends the auction by 2 minutes, giving other bidders a fair chance to respond.
